If you don't like sandbox games, go play another game.
If you don't like developing sandbox games, go develop another game.
In sandbox games, the content is player driven, not dev driven.
Enticing players away from the game so they can chase a bunch of narcissistic icelandic nerds who are giving away free stuffz (that they generated out of thin air) reeks of desperation, cluelessness and sure speaks volumes about the state of the game itself.
There's a place for people who like free crap, risk-free PVP, and testing really bad ideas, it's called Sisi. Go have your brownnosefest there. TQ is for people who like a harsh, but fair, player-driven sandbox game. Keep it that way. |

You are perfectly free to not participate.
They have the legal right to do whatever they want, including shitting on the game, neglecting the game, introducing rampant MT into the game, or 'playing' the game as 'gods'. That's what resulted in a few dozen of them being let go iirc.
Given my track record of being right about everything in the face of vehement outrage from the fanbois around here, I think it's a safe bet I'm right this time too. I don't mind doing the heavy lifting in the face of irrational tears and flaming.

Yes, this would be worse if they brought their god mode ships, but they have before and no doubt they will again.

So let's recap.
The loot thieves had a field day.
PL had a field day.
The paste-eating fanbois had a field day.
The km whores had a field day (you'd add 200b or so to your ISK killed total if you managed to ***** all the mails.)
Everyone else ended up saying 'wtf, AkJon was right again.' EVE died a little more today. Stop peeing in the sandbox, CCP! If you want to bring a fleet through, fine. T1 battlecruisers, t2 fit, t1 rigs, (regular)faction ammo, 3% implants. No UBER drops!
I have nothing against devs interacting with the playerbase and enjoyed meeting a few of y'all at the Austin meet-up. But stop displaying such open contempt for the game we play.

CCP has a long track record of contempt for the player-run economy and this is just the latest example. They buy up PLEX/GTC with ISK they magic-created and drive up the grind cost for everybody else.
Spawning **** from nothing is fine on Sisi. If you want to form a fleet on TQ, EARN IT. Or fly blackbirds/ruppies next time. |

Funny, the same trolls saying I'm wrong about this are the same tools saying I was wrong 6 months ago, wrong a year ago, wrong a year and a half ago...
Only turns out I was right about everything, and CCP finally, belatedly, realized that and changed course. If they'd listened to me sooner, many jobs could have been saved.
The EVE economy matters. Otherwise this is just World of Spaceships. Go play on Sisi if you think that's fun.
